Offer phase

  • After receipt of the application documents (see download area), the personnel assigned by the management of the certification body carries out an assessment of responsibility and checks whether the assignment is feasible taking into account the possibilities of the testing laboratory (resources, feasibility) and of any subcontractors to be engaged.
  • Offer, award of contract and the conclusion of the contract between the testing and certification body and the client are always set out in writing.
  • If a certification application has been submitted, the certification body will determine whether an initial site inspection is required. If so, the inspection will be carried out and documented by the test engineer.
  • A contract will be concluded with the client upon acceptance of the order. The basis for contracts are the specifications of DGUV-Test.

Testing phase

  • The appointed test personnel coordinate the testing process, in particular with regard to determining the test location and agreeing on a date with the applicant.
  • Once the test has been completed, a test report (non- conformity report) is drawn up and made available to the client following approval.
  • The certification body sends the invoice to the client. If certification has been commissioned, the certification body evaluates the test and the evidence required in the test report, as well as any other documents submitted.
  • In the event of significant non-conformities (e.g. failure of the test specimen), a re-test may be carried out at the client’s expense.

Certification phase

  • The appointed certification staff make the certification decision.
  • If the assessment is positive, the certificate is issued.
  • If the decision is negative, a written explanation is provided and communicated to the client.
